Lymington SailAbility is a completely self funding charity, which relies on the generosity of others. For over ten years people have given generously to us allowing us to expand each year. Every penny that comes to us goes on getting disabled people out on the water.
This shows a couple of our members being lifted using the Oxford hoist. It makes life easier for everyone involved.
The Pioner Multi allows us to get conventional wheelchair users out on the water.
It has a Ro-Ro bow which enables wheelchairs to be pushed straight on.
Our RIB's which accompany the
sailing fleet.
Lymington SailAbility have 3 windrider 17’s, each taking 3 people.
Lymington SailAbility have 2 Windrider 16’s, which are single seaters.
We sail at least twice a week, from April to October, from the public slipway, between the Royal Lymington Yacht Club and Lymington Town Sailing Club, in the Lymington River and out into the Solent.
RYA Sailability has recently launched Sailabilitytv. To learn more about Lymington Sailability and other sailing opportunities available to people with disabilities please click on the link.
